Ingredients  

Dipping Sauce

1 cup beef stock (gluten-free) (240 g)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (gluten-free) (12 g)
½ tsp salt (2 g)
1 tsp black pepper (2 g)

Beef Dip

400 g roast beef - cooked /shaved
¼ cup Horseradish Aioli (gluten-free) (38 g)
1 package Kinnikinnick Hot Dog Buns (285 g)
2 tbsp butter - melted (30 g)
1 tsp garlic powder (2 g)


Directions

Dipping Sauce

  1. In a medium pot, combine beef stock, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until combined.
  2. Add shaved beef and cook over medium-low heat for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and remove beef from sauce.
  3. Run sauce through a sieve and set aside to use for dipping sauce.

Assembly

  1. Preheat oven to broil.
  2. To make garlic butter, combine melted butter and garlic powder in a small bowl. Set aside.
  3. Slice Kinnikinnick Hot Dog Buns ¾ of the way through the side of the bun. 
  4. Brush the inside of the hot dog bun with garlic butter (use a pastry brush or knife).
  5. Toast in oven under broil just until buns begin to colour.
  6. Remove from oven and fill with marinated roast beef.
  7. Drizzle with Horseradish Aioli. Serve with dipping sauce.

Yields 4 sandwiches

  • Add mushrooms and your favourite cheese to change it up.
