Roux: Melt butter in frying pan over medium low heat; slowly add Kinnikinnick All Purpose Flour Blend, stirring constantly. Continue stirring until roux is a cream colour (3-5 minutes).
Slowly add prepared stock 1 cup at a time continue to stir. Once you have added all the stock, continue stirring for 3-5 minutes until desired thickness is achieved.
Tips & Variations
- 1 tbsp. prepared roux will thicken approximately 1 cup of liquid.
- Prepared stock should be preheated to the same temperature as the roux.
- Chicken/ Turkey/ Beef or Vegetarian stock works well with this recipe.
