Directions (Turkey Bites)
In a medium skillet, heat butter and olive oil. Add chopped onions, oregano, garlic powder, salt and thyme. Cook onions over medium heat, until onions are tender (approx. 10 minutes).
In a medium bowl combine ground turkey, prepared onions, ½ cup bread crumbs and 1 egg. Mix until combined. Form into 1inch balls. Let set in refrigerator for 1 hour.
Preheat oil to 375°F (190°C).
Place the Kinnikinnick All Purpose Flour Blend, 1 cup Kinnikinnick Panko Crumbs and 2 slightly beaten eggs in three separate bowls. Roll each ball in the flour, then the egg, and then the panko crumbs. Set aside.
When the oil has reached temperature, fry the prepared turkey balls for 10 minutes in small batches. Serve warm with creamy cranberry sauce. Yields 30 Turkey Stuffing Bites
Directions (Cranberry Sauce)
In a small bowl beat cream cheese until smooth (scraping down in between). Add sour cream and mix until combined. Fold in cranberry sauce. Chill for 1 hour prior to serving. Serve with Turkey Stuffing Bites.
Tips & Variations
Turkey Thanksgiving Bites can be prepared ahead of time. If warming from frozen state, bake at 350°F for 20minutes covered with tin foil.
