Ingredients  

Base

1 package Kinnikinnick Graham Style Cracker Crumbs (300 g)

1/3 cup butter - softened (70 g)

Filling

6 oz semisweet chocolate - chopped (177 g)

¼ cup cream 10% (50 g)

2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese (500 g)

1/3 cup granulated sugar (75 g)

8 oz whip topping - thawed (225 g)


 

Directions

Base

  1. Preheat oven 350°F (176°C). Line a 9x13 pan with tin foil creating an edge at top (to aid in removing square out of pan).
  2. With a pastry cutter or your hands combine Kinnikinnick Graham Crumbs and butter in a medium bowl.
  3. Press crumb mixture into the base of prepared 9x13 pan.
  4. Bake base in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let base cool.

Filling

  1. In a small pot melt chopped chocolate and cream over medium-low heat stirring constantly. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth, scraping down in between mixing (approximately 5-7 minutes).
  3. Add granulated sugar to creamed cheese and mix until smooth. Fold in thawed whip topping.
  4. Divide cream cheese batter into 2 portions.
  5. Slowly add melted chocolate to ½ of cream cheese mixture. Mix just until combined. Set aside.

Assembly

  1. Pour chocolate cream cheese mixture over cooled graham crust base and spread evenly.
  2. Top chocolate layer with plain cream cheese mixture and spread evenly.
  3. Let square set up in refrigerator for 4 hours minimum.
  4. Carefully lift set bar out of 9x13 pan using tin foil to aid and cut into portions.

Yields 15 portions


 

Tips & Variations

  • Decorate with additional whip topping and shaved chocolate if desired.
