Ingredients  

Optional Toppings 

200 g white chocolate - melted

20 g assorted red, white and blue sprinkles (gluten-free)

50 g shredded coconut 

blue and red food colouring 

blue and red coloured edible piping gel (gluten-free)

 Donuts 

1 package Kinnikinnick Vanilla Glazed Donuts - thawed (320 g) 



4th July Independence Day gluten-free donuts

Directions

White Chocolate (optional for Vanilla Glazed Donuts) 

  1. Using a bain marie (snug bowl over a pot of water), melt chopped chocolate.
  2. Remove from heat and cool slightly.

Assembly 

Vanilla Glazed Donuts (with Sprinkles)

  1. Dip tops of Kinnikinnick Vanilla Glazed Donuts into optional melted white chocolate. Let excess drip off. 
  2. Sprinkle with red, white and blue sprinkles.
  3. Place donut upright on serving tray and allow to set (approx. 15 minutes). 

Yields 6 donuts 

4th July Independence Day gluten-free donuts

 Vanilla Glazed Donuts (Dairy Free Version with Sprinkles) 

  1. Omit recipe for Optional White Chocolate.
  2. Brush tops of Kinnikinnick Vanilla Glazed Donuts with water to moisten by using a pastry brush or small food paint brush. 
  3. Dip in red, white and blue sprinkles immediately (don't allow water to dry). 
  4. Place donut upright on serving tray and allow to set (approx. 5 minutes). 

Yields 6 donuts  


Vanilla Glazed Donuts (with coconut)

  1. Divide coconut between two small bowls. Add red dye to one and blue dye to the other. Mix until combined. Set aside.
  2. Dip bottoms of Kinnikinnick Vanilla Glazed Donuts into optional melted white chocolate. Let excess drip off. 
  3. Dip bottom of donut in red coconut. Place on tray to set, bottom side up (approx. 5 minutes). 
  4. Dip tops of Kinnikinnick Vanilla Glazed Donuts into optional melted white chocolate. Let excess drip off. 
  5. Dip tops of donut in blue coconut. 
  6. Place donut upright on serving tray and allow to set (approx. 5 minutes). 

Yields 6 donuts 


4th July Independence Day gluten-free donuts

Vanilla Glazed Donuts (with gel)

  1. Dip tops of Kinnikinnick Vanilla Glazed Donuts into optional melted white chocolate. Let excess drip off. 
  2. Place donut upright on serving tray and allow to set (approx. 15 minutes). 
  3. Drizzle with edible red and blue piping gel.
  4. Allow gel to set (approx. 15 minutes). Gel will still be tacky to the touch.

Yields 6 donuts
