Ingredients

  • 3 lbs short ribs (trimmed fat/ cut into portion size pieces) (1362g)
  • 1 medium sweet onion (chopped) (280g)
  • 2 sticks celery (diced) (80g)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (30g)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (30g)
  • ½ cup water (130g)
  • 1 tsp dry mustard (2g)
  • ½ tsp salt (2g)
  • ¼ cup white vinegar (52g)
  • 1 cup ketchup (260g)
  • 2 tbsp worcestershire (gluten free) (24g)




Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F (176°C).


In a medium skillet heat; olive oil, onions and celery. Add trimmed meat and brown meat on all sides. Place in a 6quate casserole dish or roaster. Set aside.

In a bowl combine remaining ingredients and mix until combined. Pour over braised ribs.


Cook covered in 350°F oven for 1½ hours. Turning ribs twice during cooking time. Remove cover and continuing cooking for 15-20 minutes. Serve with your favourite side dish.
