Ingredients

  • 2 tsp butter (10g)
  • 1 celery stick (finely diced) (85g)
  • 1 green onion (diced) (10g)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped) (7g)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice (18g)
  • ¼ tsp salt (1g)
  • 1 tsp black pepper (2g)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (3g)
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise (60g)
  • 11/2 tsp hot sauce (7g)
  • 1 can crabmeat (rinsed and drained) (170g)
  • 1 pkg cream cheese (250g)
  • 1 cup monterey jack cheese (shredded/divided) (94g)




Directions

In a medium skillet melt butter over medium low heat. Add celery, onion, lemon juice salt, pepper and garlic powder; sauté until tender (3-5 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool.


In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese until smooth. Add mayonnaise, hot sauce, sautéed veggies and crabmeat to cream cheese and mix until combined. Fold in ½ cup grated cheese and parsley, stir until combined. Place in a bake proof serving dish and top with remainder of the cheese. Bake at 350°F (176°C) for 15-18 minutes or until heated through and cheese is bubbly. Serve with your favourite dippers.

 

Tips & Variations

  • Dip can be made ahead of time and baked prior to use.
