In a medium pot, combine chocolate, salt and butter. Stir until melted over low heat.
Gradually add sugar, ½ cup at a time, while continuing to stir until all granules are melted over med heat (approx 10-15 minutes).
Slowly add in evaporated milk, stirring continuously. Stir just until combined, remove from heat and serve warm over your favourite desserts.
Cool mixture and store in fridge.
Tips & Variations
- Mixture can be warmed in microwave.
- Chocolate sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks (in an air tight container).
