Tips & Variations

  • Play Dough contains high amounts of salt, we do not recommend eating it.
  • If using carrots instead of ready-made carrot juice, boil 3 sliced carrots in 2 cups water. Remove from heat and purée carrots and liquid in a blender. Using a sieve, strain liquid. Reserve liquid and puréed carrots separately.
  • Light Orange/Yellow Colour: Follow directions for Basic White Play Dough replacing 1 cup water with 1 cup carrot water.
  • Dark Orange Colours: Follow directions for Basic White Play Dough replacing 1 cup water with 1 cup carrot water. Add 3 - 4 tablespoons Carrot Purée for darker shades of orange.
  • Natural colours fade over time. It is important to store Play Dough in an airtight container in the refrigerator when not in use.
