Ingredients

600 g frozen spinach - thawed
1 small scallion - diced (30 g)
1 garlic clove - minced (3 g)
1 cup mayonnaise (240 g)
250 ml sour cream 14% (220 g)
2 sprigs thyme - stems removed/chopped fine (2 g)
1 tsp black pepper (2 g)
½ tsp salt (2 g)
½ tsp Tabasco sauce (2 g)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (15 g)
1 (218 ml) can water chestnuts - drained/ chopped fine (230 g)

Directions

  1. Using a fork, break spinach into small pieces. Drain well.
  2. In a medium bowl combine all ingredients except spinach and water chestnuts. Mix until combined.
  3. Add spinach and mix until combined.
  4. Fold in chopped water chestnuts.
  5. Place mixture in a serving dish and refrigerate dip for 1 hour prior to serving.
  6. Serve with your favourite toasted Kinnikinnick Bread cut-outs for dipping or fresh veggies.


Tips & Variations

  • For a thinner dip, place ingredients in a blender or food processor and pulse until combined (do not puree).
  • Food for Thought: Water chestnuts are not related to the nut family. It is an aquatic vegetable that grows in marshes.
