Ingredients  

Sriracha Honey Ginger Sauce

¼ cup canola oil (50 g)
¼ cup Sriracha sauce (gluten-free) (67 g)
¼ cup soya sauce (gluten-free) (60 g)
¼ cup honey (80 g)
1 tbsp fresh ginger - grated (15 g)
2 cloves minced garlic (7 g)

Chicken

½ chicken - bone in (908 g)
1 tsp paprika (1g)
1 tsp garlic powder (2g)
½ tsp salt (2g)
1 tsp black pepper (2g)


Directions

Sriracha Honey Ginger Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well. Set aside.

Chicken

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
  3. Toss seasoned chicken in ½ cup of Sriracha Honey Ginger Sauce. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. Place marinated chicken on a foil lined baking tray. Cover with foil.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and brush chicken with ½ of the remaining sauce. Cover chicken with foil again.
  7. Return to preheated oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes (covered).
  8. Remove from oven and brush with remaining sauce.
  9. Bake uncovered in preheated oven for an additional 10 minutes or an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).



Tips & Variations

  • Cook chicken to an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Saucing throughout the cooking process allows for better coating of the chicken and less chance of the glaze burning.
  • For less spicy version, reduce Sriracha sauce to 2 tablespoons.
