Ingredients
Royal Icing
3 egg whites (99 g) 3¼ cups icing sugar (325 g)
Wafers
1 package Kinnikinnick Vanilla Wafers (180 g) food colouring - variety of colours 1 recipe royal icing - prepared Optional: piping bags for easier decorating
Directions
Royal Icing
In a medium bowl, whip egg whites to soft peak.
Slowly add icing sugar 1 cup at a time until desired thickness.
Add food colouring if desired.
Assembly
Lightly brush the surface of each Kinnikinnick Vanilla Wafer with a pastry brush to remove crumbs. Set aside.
Colour royal icing with your favourite colours.
Fill piping bags with prepared royal icing.
Heart Design
Pipe a heart in the centre of Kinnikinnick Vanilla Wafer . Pipe over heart design with another line or dots to raise piping slightly on wafer.
Using a different colour of icing, to pipe a smaller heart design in centre.
Arrow Design
Pipe a white line in centre of Kinnikinnick Vanilla Wafer.
Make two diagonal lines to create arrow head at one end of line.
Add 3 - 4 lines on opposite end through line to resemble feathers on the end of the arrow.
Words
Using a small writing tip #2 and piping bag, pipe a variety of words to create love messages.
Examples of some messages: LOVE, I ♥ U or Be MINE.

Tips & Variations
Thicker icing stands up better for detail work.
Thinner icing works well if you want to dip cookies first. Place thin icing in a bowl and dip tops of cookies.
