Ingredients

  • 2 lb yellow potatoes (peeled/cut into 6-8 pieces) (908 g)
  • 1 medium head cabbage (cored/chopped) (585g)
  • 4 green onions (diced) (36 g)
  • ¼ cup butter (45 g)
  • ½ cup cream 10% (120 g)
  • 1 tsp salt (divided) (5 g)
  • 1 tsp black pepper (divided) (2 g)

Directions

In a 6 qt pot, boil potatoes, cabbage, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp pepper and green onion until potatoes are tender (approx. 20 minutes).


Drain and mash potato mixture until combined. Continue mashing and add butter, salt, pepper and cream until combined. Serve with your favourite protein.


Tips & Variations

  • It is important to cut potatoes all the same size for even cooking
