Ingredients
1 medium onion - diced (160 g) 1 lb. ground beef (454 g) 1 - 10 oz can tomato sauce (530 g) ½ cup ketchup (150 g) 2 tsp chili powder (5 g) 1 tsp cumin (5 g) ½ tsp salt (2 g) 1 tsp black pepper (2 g) 1 tsp granulated sugar (5 g) 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (gluten-free) (12 g) 2 cloves garlic - minced (7 g) 1 tbsp yellow mustard (7 g) 2 packages Kinnikinnick Hot Dog Buns (8 buns) (570 g) ¼ cup grated cheddar cheese (50 g) 8 hot dogs - cooked your favourite way (gluten-free) (544 g) Optional: 2 tbsp garlic butter (2 tbsp butter + 1 tsp garlic powder)

Directions
Cooking
- In a medium stock pot, cook hamburger, garlic, salt, pepper and onion until onion is soft and hamburger is cooked ¾ of the way.
- Add remainder of seasonings, tomato sauce, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and mustard.
- Cook over medium-low heat for 20 minutes (check that hamburger is fully cooked).
Assemble
- Slice each Kinnikinnick Hot Dog Bun ¾ of the way across the top of the bun lengthwise.
- Brush the inside and top with garlic butter. Toast under broiler or in toaster oven.
- Place cooked hotdog in toasted bun and top with chili mix and shredded cheese. Serve immediately.
Yields 8 chili dogs
Tips & Variations
- Remainder of chili mixture freezes well (if you have any left).
